Default Will people appreciate Mirror Mirror now

I know that Mirror Mirror is not a very popular movie that a lot of people like. But since Snow White wasn’t that good do you think more people will appreciate Mirror mirror? I saw it in theaters and I personally always enjoyed it.

Snow White is excellent.

But I may revisit Mirror Mirror one of these days.

Jesus. I barely remembered this thing existed. But this trailer is bad for sure. I've seen worse but still.

Pretty big Julia Roberts fan, but that really was one of her more forgettable movies.

Gone are the days when things became a "cult classic". The film was mostly forgotten even when it released.

Mirror Mirror is awesome. Tarsem can do no wrong, with the exception of Self/Less. The latter was just bland from what I remember-- the most "un-Tarsem" film in his filmography.

Mirror Mirror and Immortals need 4K disc releases.

Does that trailer represent the film well for Mirror Mirror?

Totally forgot that Singh did that one. LOVED The Fall from him though. That one has a 4K coming from an Aussie distributor. So heads up on that.

The Cell was very surreal and a good horror thriller IMO.

Mirror Mirror, I didn't know it was about Snow White. It looks like a comedy from that trailer with Julia Roberts as the laughing queen.

I've always liked it, but I'm more partial to Snow White and the Huntsman.

Charlize Theron could have easily reprised her role in the Disney movie. If Christopher Lee could play Dracula in two different continuities, so can she.

Here is a video in relation to how this new Snow White relates to both the original fairytale and the original animated Disney movie:https://www.youtube.com/supported_br...tube.com/watch

I liked both "Mirror Mirror" and "Disney's Snow White".
I saw "Mirror Mirror" in theaters and have seen it a couple of times since then.

I jumped with excitement upon seeing this thread, thinking people were finally discussing this obscure banger of a horror flick that works perfectly as a complement to Oculus:

Color me disappointed.

I think Mirror Mirror is fine. It has stunning art direction (which I expect no less from Tarsem), and Lily Collins is a fantastic Snow. But the screenplay is definitely trying to be too comedic for its own good, and while that's not a bad thing in and of itself (especially with the humorless Snow White and the Huntsman coming right after this), the gags aren't really the sharpest. And the onslaught of comedy means there's a lack of sincerity and pathos. But I do think it's very watchable, and I like that they managed to give the dwarves distinctive personalities that didn't ape Disney's. Grimm and Wolf are my favorites.

For all the mudslinging the Disney remake has received, I actually do think it's the best live-action telling of the story. It managed to tap into the innocent fairy tale aspect while adding just enough to make Snow more proactive (without sacrificing her naivete as people feared). I mean, it's got to count for something where Disney's is one of the few live-action Snow Whites to have her awakened by her love interest's kiss (Mirror Mirror ditches that entirely in favor of Snow breaking the prince out of the puppy love spell, Snow White and the Huntsman has the Huntsman wake her while thinking of his dead wife, and both A Tale of Terror and the Cannon Movie Tale versions go with the original Grimm telling of the apple piece dislodging itself).
