South Korea My Sassy Girl

Is there any rumors that My Sassy Girl will be release on BD? YesAsia as all region DVD of this movie which not very expensive but if I were to have an idea when the movie would be out on BD, I will wait gladly for it.

Korea's been pretty slow moving when it comes to Bluray so all I could advise is to be patient if you want the film on Bluray. I mean, it took them forever to release The Good, The Bad, and the Wierd. And it still hasn't even been released yet. The date keeps getting pushed back.

The last thing they release since TheG,D,W is I think Welcome to Dongmakgol and Taegukgi. I think that was a year or two ago too.

Thanks, I guess I will order the all region DVD for now and I will get the BD later on, the movie is just too darn good

I'll definitely buy this one....although curious if they would go with the Director's Cut or theatrical edit.

Hope they release "Il Mare" and "Windstruck" as well....Too many Korean films I would love to see released on Blu.

I bought My Sassy Girl on DVD in Thailand...anamorphic PAL, DD 5.1 Korean, English subtitles, and just a music video and trailers. Best $1.82 I ever spent.

Two big releases I'd like to see the most on bluray is The General's Son Trilogy on bluray and also the Im-Kwon Taek Collection on bluray. I would be an extremely happy person if they released those two in hi-def. Classic stuff right there. Although, I don't see it happening any time soon. I've got the DVD sets at least.

Sort of off topic, I know, but I want them so much. Im Kwon Taek is probably my favorite Korean director. He's got an amazing body of work.

I'm sure you'll like it. It's a great film.

You might even give the remake a try. I think Elish Cuthbert is in it. Haven't seen it, but I heard it's not all bad.

Oh I've seen the movie already, I loved it so much that I just have to own it. I was hoping for a BD release but I will double dip gladly later on, I will see this movie often enough for that

It's horrible! The orginal blows it out of the water. But once you see the orginal, the remake makes more sense.

I did not see the American movie with Elisha Cuthbert, I don't rent movies so I will wait to catch it on a movie channel.

I have heard it is absolutely horrible. I won't even entertain the notion of seeing it. Just like I won't entertain the notion of seeing the remake of The Karate Kid

Didn't they do a remake of Il Mare too? How did that one turn out?

The remake is called The Lake House with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Its a pretty good remake only because the filmmakers didn't get lazy and try to "copy" shots from the original like Shutter and The Eye.

Well I also heard it's not very good but I always watch the movies if they happen to be available when I am there to see them or DVR them. I won't go out of my way to see it but I will be curious to see it in order to compare it with the original

It was okay but I didn't like the ending. The ending from Il mare was much better.
