Unfortunately, Warner/New Line hasn't been sending screeners for their low-priced catalog releases. Rest assured though, the staff here has divided up the dozen or so Warner catalog titles hitting the market this week, tracked down copies of our own, and will be loading reviews throughout the week and weekend, 'Friday' included

I cant imagine with the age and budget of this movie that watching it on blu is going to make much of a difference. It probably wont look much better than the dvd.

I really hope you're wrong. I popped in the dvd a few nights back and it was REALLY bad.

That said, I know what you're saying and I'm not expecting too much on this one.

I don't own the DVD but I can imagine it was extremely grainy. I just put the movie on quick to see how it looked, and it looks pretty good. (I dont know what some of you would consider bad/good) But it doesn't look like a movie from 1995. Some scenes look a little grainy but I can say that it's probably MUCH better than the DVD.

Is there a way to take screen shots? It's on my PS3

I'll be anticipating a Menace II Society review. Love the movie, but at $20 I'm not willing to blind buy. I don't see it listed on anyone's upcoming reviews, yet. Any clue who's covering it, Ken?

I bought both Friday and Menace and I have watched Friday and it looks very good. Way better than the DVD.

one review on Amazon said the contrast was turned up so high on the Blu release that the colors screamed at him

umm... a "blind buy " is when you buy a movie you've never seen. Hence the term BLIND buy.

I preodered friday, menace, and set it off from wbshop back in june for $36.

Ken, who's reviewing set it off?

Nice and even distribution for maximum and most effecient coverage. Just be patient with us. Titles we've received screeners for always get priority over those we've had to rent or purchase.
