Well sure but that's what every console and GPU does now.

I'm just surprised they're on the graphics options bandwagon.

I’m sure DF will be excited that shooting at enemies lights up your weapon…

Using the Joy Con as a mouse for aiming is interesting, I would like Nintendo to include standard keyboard and mouse support though.

Really just looks like a resolution increase from what they’re showing. Guess we’ll have to see more at the Treehouse to see more footage.

The textures in the forest area look much improved to me, but beyond that definitely seems mostly a resolution bump. Granted, a MASSIVE resolution bump. Plus HDR that isn’t shown of course.

To piggyback on what me and Talal discussed earlier, in the new DF video they state that they see no evidence of DLSS in the Prime 4 footage.

They said the same for Zelda. Interesting that we haven’t see any usage of that at all.

For some baffling reason, there will be no true Switch 2 physical version of this. It will be the same as the upgraded existing games, Switch card + “upgrade pack”. Cheaper to just have one production line I guess.

Makes sense to me. They are selling it as a Switch 1 release after all, and it was not optimized for Switch 2 when developed.

I would agree if they didn't already say 4k/60 or 1080/120 on Switch 2. I mean they're taking a 900p output to 4k with no DLSS. That seems pretty Switch 2 optimized to me.

Neat-o that this is still cross-gen. If I'm unable to get the Switch 2 any time soon I'll still pick up a regular switch copy and just upgrade someday.

I love the Metroid series, both the 2D and 3D games. They are some of my favorite games of all time.

As such, to say that I am really excited for Prime 4, would be a massive understatement. haha

And holy smokes! That gameplay they showed at the Treehouse event looked absolutely fantastic! Samus has never looked this great! Retro Studios have truly moved the series into the modern age.

Just give us a release date already! I assume this won't be a Switch 2 launch title, so maybe it will come out around August or September at the earliest.
