Cliff Twemlow was a nightclub bouncer, composer, novelist, actor, filmmaker and unsung ‘80s UK legend. For more than a decade, the unstoppable Manchester native – along with a devoted team of local doormen, martial artists, variety performers, models, girlfriends, gym friends, family members and B-listers – created his own low-budget shot-on-video empire via a bollock-bashing oeuvre of gangster films, horror movies, spy thrillers, sci-fi epics and beyond. Mine arrived today. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Just removed the wrapping, and filed it on the shelf.

I took each disc for a quick spin. There aren't any audio specs listed anywhere, apart from Mono and Stereo. All discs use DTS-HD MA 2.0 for the feature. Commentaries are DD2.0
The first 2 discs and the 5th disc are 1080/24p. The remaining discs are 1080/30i, though the 7th disc is 1080/24p for the intro chapter of "Tokyo Sunrise", but the remaining chapters are 1080/30i.
So, essentially, widescreen content is 1080/24p and everything 1.33:1 is 1080/30i.
A couple of features are listed as 1.78:1 ("The Ibiza Connection" and "The Eye of Satan") but are actually 1.33:1.
The set is in a sturdy cardboard-sleeved book, with a sturdy cardboard outer cover.
The sleeves are snug, but not tight, and have a U-shaped cutout to allow a finger to access the center hole and guide the disc out.
The box is slightly oversized, but fits on the shelf with standard cases. Similar height to an Arrow box, but sticks out a little more.
Most of the content is sourced from videotape, so it is what it is.
Disc 1 (the documentary) and disc 2 ("Tuxedo Warrior") have the best PQ. The interview footage in the documentary was shot with modern equipment, and "Tuxedo Warrior" appears to have been filmed, though I'm speculating since I can find a source for that info.

It doesn't look great (which goes without saying, most of these films were shot on video), but I'm fairly certain there's some A.I. upscaling involved.

I’ve collected VHS for years, and I’ve only ever held one copy of a GBH VHS in my dirty mitts. Definitely thankful they are available at all.

Got me too. Whoever cuts Severin’s trailers is a god damn Samurai. They could cut a trailer for a pot holder crocheting seminar for senior citizens and I’d be first in line to buy it.

I tried to watch G.B.H yesterday... my gawd it's bad.

The image is piss poor, the audio is piss poor and the story is... yep. Piss poor.

The acting then? To no ones surprise - even worse than piss poor.

For a movie like this to even exist is amazing. I'm at a loss for anymore words right now.
