PS3 Guitar controller question - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,
Does anyone know if they make a guitar controller for PS3 for GH that has flush buttons like the Rock Band guitars. Reason I ask is because I prefer the flat buttons to the raised buttons. I appreciate any info. Thanks.

I'm not specifically aware of a GH branded guitar that has the buttons sitting in it in that same manner.

Having said that, isn't the Rock Band Guitar compatible with the GH games on PS3?

I have all my GH/RB stuff on 360 (because I started buying them for that system before I ever had PS3, and I really didn't want to rebuy peripherals, so I've continued getting the newer games on that system), and I know that early on there were some compatibility issues, but I thought that there were some kind of updates or something done to correct that so the guitars, drums, etc would have some basic compatibility across both series of games.

If you RB Guitar works with GH, then I don't see any reason to get another guitar if you like that one.

Yes, both guitars work for both games... well, at least all my equipement is GH and all i play is Rock Band. so i would figure it would work the other way...

Thanks, I'll check and see when I get home. Question, though, do you have switches on your GH guitars and dongles? I have a couple of GH guitars that have switches but the RB guitars do not.

Actually, from what I know, the Guitar Hero guitars work with all Rockband games. But not all RB guitars work with all GH games.

Thanks, I looked at that compatibility chart and it looks like thr RB guitars won't do GH. I appreciate the link.

I'm thinking about getting this one because it says it works with GH and RB and it looks like flush fret buttons. It's a little high priced but also built more like a real guitar and it's sized like a real guitar as well.

The Rockband controller won't work on GH III & GH: Aerosmith, but it is fully compatible with GH: World Tour & GH5. I always play those with my Rockband guitar 'cause I like it better too.

I guess they haven't updated their chart because it didn't say anything about GH5. Thanks for that info. I will check it out as soon as I get home this afternoon. That's going to be nice using my RB guitar for GH5.
