Why is Rock & Roll Comedy Hour removed? The music is bands performing their own songs.

All the theme songs are there though and Seasons 7-9 are in their proper widescreen with Seasons 1-6 staying in their proper 4:3.

Wow I don't know if I should be surprised or not but I'm definitely disappointed not even Blu-ray I mean DVDs are nearly what 30 years old we have 4K which I didn't expect but you couldn't even do a Blu-ray release at least. I may still get this but kind of unbelievable especially after waiting that long.

I'm on the fence, it's been so long that I have watched the show that I probably won't notice most changes unless they're super obvious like storylines no longer making sense because of a missing scene because while I remember the general storylines I don't know the episodes line by line but this feels like the show has been hacked to pieces looking at the spreadsheet.

Actually if you read the Spreadsheet, Only 1 and 2 (The Sketch episodes, Why they're not cleared is confusing) are removed

My guess is it's also gonna have the re-edited version of Two Drews and the Queen of Poland from season 2. It was edited after the original airing and removed Dan Castelleneta's guest appearance (though oddly his credit is still there). It was later re-edited with the cold open being pulled from another episode and other moments extended to pad out the runtime. I believe the uncensored version hasn't been seen since the original ABC broadcast. Sorta like what happened with the Koi Pond episode from The Office.

I am buying this set as soon as I am able to. We're lucky we even got this at all. I've watched the edited-down versions, which are perfectly competent 75-80% of the time. The edited-down versions still prove that this show was comedy gold.

I'm so glad Warner Brothers finally got off their ass*s and put this out there!

I just couldn't wait and bought the complete series on iTunes and I'm having such a blast I'm already in season 3. It's been so long since these originally aired it's like watching it for the first time again.

I think it was Drew who really wanted the show to be out there again. Hopefully now that these edited-down versions exist that it could be potentially be licensed to Netflix or one of the other popular streaming services and the show could have a chance at being really popular again. This is one of the best sitcoms of all time, and I'm glad an effort is being put in to have it be available legally.

So I got my copy. I'm just on season one so far. The video is smoothed to hell, and they are 4x3 pillarboxed. So I'm assuming these are prepped-for-streaming versions slapped straight to DVD.

I'm happy to have it regardless of the shortcomings. Pity it took this long.

Question for ya: What was The Rolling Stones' song Drew was teasing Mimi with in the episode, Lewis' Sister? It looks weird with him dancing about and the sound effects still there but nothing coming out of his mouth.
