It’s the same director as Top Gun Maverick, which has the expanded ratio on disc. I have a good feeling this would as well.

A 4K disc up for pre-order? Oh that'll be great, and I'm glad. We need more Apple films on physical media anyway.

Does he have the clout to get that contractually? Because the two movies are being handled by different studios.

What? Apple putting a new release on disc right away? Or at all? They can do that? I thought letting Killers of the Flower Moon out on disc stateside would damage their bottom line or model or whatever.

Absolutely lovely news, and I hope this sets a precedent for future distribution partners of Apple's to negotiate home video releases for their films too.

They sold theatrical, home entertainment and digital purchase distribution rights to WB in June last year, with SVOD and streaming rights staying with Apple.

So this is an exception because WB bought the rights to release it.

I don't know if it works that way for a WB title with Apple for a physical media release. We'll have to see when we get closer to the fall/autumn.

Thanks, that's useful. I assumed that it would be just like Killers Of The Flower Moon and Napoleon with no physical release at all.

Being a massive F1 fan for a couple of decades, I'm really excited about this one. I'm hoping the 4k release will be a reference presentation.

I had a feeling this was going to get a 4K release as MantaLab announced it as one of their possible 2025 Steelbook releases

I thought it was pretty interesting seeing and 'feeling" it like that. Like a mini D-Box presentation. I got my tickets for the opening weekend IMAX showing. I have a feeling it won't last too long on the IMAX screens.

WB has contractually reserved IMAX screens for 2 weeks for F1 and 2 weeks for Superman.

After Superman, FF will get all the IMAX screens, no matter how well Superman is doing.

Saw this in IMAX last night. It uses the 1.90:1 ratio for the entire runtime in IMAX. Looks and sounds amazing. The movie itself is fantastic, although I think a lot of it went over my head because I'm not very knowledgeable about the sport of F1. But it was still a very enjoyable watch, and I'm sure fans of F1 will love it more than I did.

As ann F1 fan, I enjoyed it. The camera work was exceptional. The access they had to the tracks was unparalleled. The racing was ridiculous but I enjoyed it for what it was. I got a chuckle out of a cameo near the end that F1 fans might enjoy or hate.

This was the best sounding IMAX presentation I've ever heard. Glad to see that we're getting a 4K disc release.
