Dumb and Dumber - Blu-ray Forum

Hey all,

Does the US BD version of Dumb and Dumber still miss the scene where Lloyd returns from the shop after getting his money changed to find the little old lady has robbed him?

Yes it's missing. I've only seen this on my Norwegian VHS release... and a PAL laserdisc I once had. And from what I've learned in similar threads about the topic in this forum the scene is probably a shot for TV sequence.

It's not in the movie, or in the deleted scenes of the Blu-ray (US or UK)...

Its not in the Aussie blu-ray either, which sucks because the Aussie dvd has that scene, which means its a direct port of the US version (as it has the DC scenes).

I have the US version DVD and it has the scene. I have the Blu but haven't watched it yet to notice.

It's not on the US Blu-ray either. And make sure we're talking about the same scene. The scene where Lloyd talks to the old lady and asks her to watch his stuff while he goes for change is in all versions. It's the part when he comes back and see that the old lady has taken off with all his stuff (including his wallet and all the newspapers), and he walks back and forth shouting "little old lady??!!??" that's missing...

I could of sworn someone asked the same question a month or so before?? I believe that scene is there when I watched it

BTW, Dumb & Dumber is my favorite comedy.

hehe, and I asked the question months before that again (when the Blu-ray was released). This has been discussed SO many times on this forum... But as long as people don't bother searching we'll just keep on getting new threads.

It's been confirmed that it's not on the US, UK or Australian Blu-ray releases. So unless you have another version than any of these, you didn't see this (longer) scene.

Once again; please note that it's the last part of the old lady scene that's missing.

after reading this thread i double checked my blu-ray and it DOES have the old lady scene in it. all the way yp to the point where he says he got robbed and didnt see it coming. its the uncut version BD

It doesn't have the scene we're talking about though. The scene in question comes after he tells the woman that old people actually do serve a purpose (although dangerous behind the wheel...). He returns to find that he's been robbed. That scene is actually missing.

That scene was on the DVD, I believe. Why would it be cut? Doesnt make sense.

How are people getting a different cut of the film on the US release? There is only one release that I know of, and the scene is not in that release. The last line spoken with the old lady is "don't you go dyin' on me!" as he walks away. The scene people are talking about comes AFTER that when he returns to where the woman was and realizes he's been robbed. He then goes home (where chapter 5 starts) and tells Harry what happened.

So no, the scene is NOT in the movie.

From what you stated above, it's on my BD copy (Unrated). I can double check and confirm when I get home. You said chapter 5 so I'll go straight there...

However, I may be confused myself.
