Deep Discount and DiabolikDVD are already OOS (two online stores which might have been better for American users). What you have to know with Imprint releases is that usually after they sell out on their own site, they are soon after being blocked for international delivery on the JB-HiFi website. So from then on you will only be able to buy this release from JB if you have an Australian shipping adress (the other alternative being eBay scalpers).
However, I just checked and right now international customers are still able to order "The Osterman Weekend" from JB.
I ordered with JB HiFi right after you posted that, and now I just got informed they put my order on backorder.

Same thing here. Let's hope they'll actually get some stock eventually and it's not gone completely. Usually a certain amount of stock is reserved for retailers with such limited editions, and JB is a major Australian retailer, so it might very well be that the last remaining stock will not go to Imprint themselves but to JB.

BTW I actually just checked and you cannot order the set outside of Australia anymore. If they still have some stock left, the two of us might have actually lucked out and gotten some of the last ones to be sent overseas.

Ordered mine via Amazon (had a gift coupon) and am expecting it. I know what I am getting so I expect to be satisfied. But must confess my interest and reason to order is the DC.

I love this film. This release will definitely be my go-to when I want to watch it. The DC looked a lot better than I was expecting. So much more was fleshed out at the beginning and end in this version. John Hurt gives one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. That scene where he acts like a puppet is truly frightening. I notice that the DC seems to shorten the pool scene after the dog is kicked in comparison to the TC.

I have only seen the Directors Cut but this film is so incredible, feel like it'd get more love if it didn't get released in its truncated form

The beginning and ending are so much better in the DC. The affair seemed abrupt in the DC, is there more footage of that in the preview version on the Anchor Bay DVD? I like how the affair adds meaning to the wife's speech in the car when he drops her and his son off at the airport.

I just walked into a JB Hifi in Sydney to collect Lawrence Of Arabia and The Bridge On The River Kwai UHDs in the buy-one-get-one-free offer and was amazed to see The Osterman Weekend limited edition two-disc set there for $70. This is long OOP as far as I'm aware and not on JB's website. I had to pair it with something similarly priced to take advantage of the 2 for 1 so went for Imprint's two-disc Alfie set.

What looks better, the theatrical cut master or the German print

For all its scratches and flecks the German print still looks better than the mess of a master of the theatrical cut.

Peckinpahs cut is the best of the three though.

The standard release doesn’t include the directors cut

Watching the theatrical print now, looks much better than the other version and has a nice retro look to it
