You don't work at Viz, so you clearly don't know how we operate. Also, it's 2025, not 2005. A lot has changed in-house in the last 20 years.

I don't have a complaint regarding the film itself, but your claim that the UHD was cut which turned out to be utter bullshit. If you want people to believe your Pokemon "scoop," maybe have a bit of credibility?

Again, you got a complaint, post it there. We're not talking about Austin Powers.

Man, there's just so much contradiction and so much bullsh*t here. You're either trolling or wanting attention hard. I'd say both.

You say you got your info from ''an insider at Viz'',

But then you contradict yourself saying:

Not to mention this bullsh*t:

With a wink that just says 'trust me bro'

The short film "Pikachu's Vacation" will also be included in Dolby Vision HDR with both Japanese and English audio/sub options.

This will also mark a series of firsts... the first time both cuts and both dubs are made available outside of Japan (theatrical cut was only released on the ultra-rare LaserDisc and VHS)... and Viz Media's first-ever 4K home release!
NONE OF THIS makes sense. It's such a obsessed fan's ''wishlist'' more than a thing that could happen.

Why would the Japanese do this, it makes no sense. When they've considered the second cut the final one and haven't released ever since. HELL, they haven't remastered the movies since the Pikachu boxset, let alone release them again on Blu-ray.

Like, come on, man, I don't know what you're trying to do but is super pathetic. And the fact that you're being ultra defensive, insulting and being a whiny baby on people calling your bluff only proves it further.

But honestly if it wasn't just for you contradictions there's also the simple fact that NDAs exist and if you've worked on this shit (you first say it's ''an insider'' but then say you've worked on it) then you'd know this type of info just can't get out that easy. You'd be fired on the spot. SPECIALLY WITH POKÉMON.

On top of it all it just makes no sense from a business stand point. The Pokémon anime is different outside of Japan/Asia. There's just no way they'd do this kind of thing. Japanese version/audio? Both cuts? New English subs? Dolby Vision/HDR? You do have an idea how strict the Japanese are with this sh*t and why this wouldn't fly?

Like, please, go home. Mods just delete this thread, or move it to Wishlist.

Contradictions, contradictions everywhere!

First you work at Viz Media as an editor and audio technician,

Then, somehow working at Viz, you worked at Nightmare's! Damn, you're a big wiz in the industry!!

This dude posted made-up stuff about the Austin Powers 4k right before it came out. Either a pot-stirrer or an internet fan-fiction release guy. Would love this to be true though! Since you work at Viz can you put in a word that y'all have horrible disc authors? Thanks!

BTW giggling at referring to 4Kids as "Kids WB."

If this is true, please tell me one of the versions on the disc will include the "Welcome to the World of Pokemon/Ash's Journey" opening segment that was only in the Japanese version? This intro was eventually recycled and used for movies 4 and 5 in the dub, but it would be so cool if this was 100% complete.

Also, is the extended opening the entire "Mewtwo's Origin" including the little girl and the starter clones?

Holy f**k if this is true, The Pokemon Company has already outdone every anniversary for me.

Damn, dude. I got so excited for a split second. I've always wanted a release of this film with the Uncut version of the 4Kids dub!

This is almost as bad as whoever claimed there was a leak that a compilation of Gen 1-3 Pokemon games coming out in 2 collections (Pokemon Memories and Reminisce) right before Pokemon Presents earlier this year.

I know, but in fairness, (Kids) WB distributed the film AND released the extended cut on home video Stateside.

I won’t rule out Viz and TPCI doing something for the franchise’s 30th next year, but this seems too good to be true.
