Default Atari 7800+

$130 for this bundle, other options available.

Quote:
GET YOUR PIXEL FIX LIKE IT'S 1986.
The new Atari 7800+ joins the ranks of such timeless design icons as shoulder pads, crop tops, and aviator sunglasses! Inspired by the original ‘80s design, this scaled-down version fits today’s living rooms and connects easily to modern TVs via HDMI. It supports both 2600 and 7800 game cartridges and comes with the new Wireless CX78+ Gamepad, an untethered recreation of the radical controller Atari released with the 7800 in Europe in the ‘80s. Use its two-button gaming power to journey through Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest, the brand-new cartridge sequel to Crystal Castles.

Has anyone here picked this up? I received it for Christmas along with two regular joysticks, extension cords (for joysticks), and paddles. I already had a bunch of games, so I didn’t need them to start. So far, so good. Anyone have any impressions?

I’ve been grabbing some old and new games to go with this. Loving it. I also have my original 7800 up and running. So far only two games haven’t played on the new system; Rampage and Pitfall! Rampage plays on the old system but Pitfall! on neither (probably bad as others say theirs works).

I'm thinking about getting this because the paddles work with this(unlike the 2600+) and I like the Indy 500 game-whcih only uses the paddles.

I used to love Activision’s Enduro. I can’t remember if it used the paddles, but either way, it’s on my list.

I have it, but I haven't played it for a long time-I think that is just a joystick.

I guess a blu-ray forum the place to discuss video games, lol. Not much action here. For those interested in these new Ataris, Aazon has had them on sale for less than $100 so keep an eye out. I've enjoyed some of the newer games like Berzerk (never had the old version). Audacity's (old Activision creators) new line looks promising. I've enjoyed Casey's Gold. It has that Activision feel. My only issue is finding time to play .

I have the old Berserk and got the new one that came out last year. I want to get the new Super Circus Atari-but that comes out-among others-next month.

I'm patiently waiting for the new Popeye and Keystone Koppers. Hope to final get them in July. Didn't really need Koppers as Kapers still plays on the new systems, but wanted to help support future games (and also see some updated graphics).
