V-series is their top of the line, followed by G-series. I wouldn't consider the others unless price was a major factor, no 24p playback.

Thanks for your reply but I tought that the G10 won Best TV lately, just to be clear my question was not the newest but the best.

Edit; I want to go with either 54 or 58 inchs

I have just compared the V10 and G10 and there is 2 differences

1- One more HDMI input for the V10
2- Viera cast

Versus the price difference 400$ more of the V10. So is there something I'm missing here? Is there something else more in the V10 to be worth 400$ more

Z-series is actually the top of the line. And I don't think it's fair to rank last year's 'U' line at the bottom. I'd take an 800U/850U ahead of an S or maybe even a G10 (if I could do a side-by-side first).

I was under the impression that the g-series had 24p playback, but the website says it doesn't. Was I wrong?

The main differences between the g and v series plasmas is like the consumer and pro models of Pioneer plasmas. The V-sereis has more advanced menus and addition pro features, like RS-232C control.

Only the V/Z have true 24p at 96Hz.

The G10 will give you flicker since its only 48hz and the V10 eliminates this. Also, the V10 has a more accurate picture and from what's I've seen maybe even slightly deeper blacks.

There is a new line of "U" series (TC-P50U1), so I wasn't comparing the 800/850U to the others.

Here is link to a comparison of all 4 models

http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs...349745|330261|

The U says it only has 900 lines of resolution or more while all the others say 1080 lines

Interesting. I wasn't aware of the 'U' line. Thanks for the info.
