Wow guys. Тhe game would be long ? I have the platinum on the first one and it was definitely going over 100 hours. I've never had a problem with it. Persona 5 is over 100 hours long, and what a great game it is. More hours, more things to do, more story, just a bigger game overall. Isn't that what we want from sequels? Have we come to the point of wanting less? I just don't understand this world anymore.

It depends on how much of that 100 hours is busy work to extend play time vs meaningful story-driven gameplay.

Sadly, nowadays when a game streets on or around $50 (such as LUNAR Remastered Collection and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), scalpers make sure that price doesn't last long.

I wouldn't criticize them for making a 100 hour sequel (to get to the end), because some people might want that, but I wouldn't play this one. Don't care enough to put that kind of time in.

Long games are fine just depends on what they are. Some become slogs by the halfway point.

Kojima is great at keeping the game fresh and I'm hopeful this sequel will be worth it.

Love the idea of being able to either approach with stealth, come in battling, or avoid all together and the music being different depending on which method you choose.

Hideo Kojima should just make a live-action feature theatrical movie already. Death Stranding 1 was probably 60% cinematic story and 40% actual gameplay.

Until he learns the meaning of "Kill Your Darlings", I want Kojima and his ilk far away from movies.

While I agree with you regarding the cinematics, I never really felt short-changed on gameplay other than I would've liked a little more combat, which part 2 seems to fix. I was very engrossed in the story of the first game, so I didn't mind all the cutscenes. It just seems to come with the territory with Kojima games. You either embrace it or you simply won't like Kojima games. It's kind of like Elder Scrolls games and jank, LOL. You just come to expect that Bethesda RPG's are going to have some of that and embrace it, or you'll end up hating it.

He'll always be Daryl to me lol.

Looks like there's a lot of delivering going on on that video.

I may be in the minority...but I loved the delivery aspect. Just chill, me and the terrain

I don't mind the delivery too much, just the oily ooze that interrupts your deliveries one too many times per delivery. Then the rain degrading everything. Rapid aging. A unique concept and seems like it takes place in another dimension. Not quite reality.

You need to plan your route and equipment ahead of time. I think that is part of the fun of doing deliveries.

I respect that some people like the delivering but I hated it and why I needed to take 2 breaks to get through the game, and it was only the story and the promise of a payoff from those who finished that kept me going with it.

Yeah, I was not a fan of the gameplay loop at all. However, despite liking the premise, I was none too fond of the story either. That's why I left the first game unfinished, collecting dust in my media rack.
