Same here. I've only had one movie. That was A Knight's Tale on 05/23/25. I'm not sure when I even purchased that movie.

They're not going to upgrade MA titles you got somewhere else. They don't even upgrade everything you bought from them directly, it's very random. It's almost like they don't realize people will find out others got upgrades.

I got A Knight's Tale from that sign-up deal long ago - still in SD for me. I remember people reporting the Jurassic Park movies getting free upgrades, I'm sure I bought those on Vudu but never got the upgrade.
Random indeed. |

I've been buying for about 12 years with over 1800 movies and they've only upgraded these:
Last Night in Soho 09/17/2024 How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Ultimate Edition 12/16/2024 Frosty the Snowman 09/17/2024 Punch-Drunk Love 02/16/2024 The Big Lebowski 09/17/2024 Snatch 11/05/2023 Psycho 09/17/2024 Rear Window 09/17/2024 The Raid: Redemption (Unrated) 05/10/2024 I Know What You Did Last Summer 11/05/2023 Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer 09/17/2024 Unforgiven and Gremlins on a 2nd account I no longer use. Better than nothing though. |

A direct purchase from Vudu/FAH (or those free movies Vudu offered when you signed up since those are thought of as purchases) and if the studio allows for for 4K upgrades. IT doesn't matter if your bough SD or HDX, it would be upgraded usually. Any code redemptions, bundle purchases (I think), D2D or MA imports don't qualify. The only known instances of any of those upgrading was more to do merging two Vudu accounts together or when if one merged FandangoNow and Vudu accounts and the way the system or CS did the merge caused the transaction to be recorded as a purchase and not a coupon voucher claim. Then after all that, if you are randomly lucky to have your account be searched for any free 4K upgrade from participating studios.

It's very random. And not every upgrade is announced either. I got all those subpar movies from Vudu when I signed up years ago. All of them were in SD. I've never watched any of them. Just recently I got the notice that A Knights Tail got upgraded from SD to 4K. I looked through that old batch and several of them have been upgraded to 4K without any announcement, including Scorpion King. The rest are still SD. But I've had Blu-Ray code redemptions later upgrade to 4K again without notice. Example there is Clerks III. I bought that on Blu-ray HD, the code redeemed on Vudu in HD. But I brought up on Vudu the other day and saw it was now 4K for me.
