Caught this last night. The first film was enjoyable, but this one definitely overstays its welcome.

sad to agree since the 1st was fun, but this one seemed unsure of its motivation, what to do with it's actors, just confused about the story it wanted to tell and the demographic it wanted to show it too, but i like that steelbook..

Steelbook looks stunning. Definitely going to pick this up. Saw it last night at the drive-in and loved the change in tone. You can't replicate that first flick and I'm really glad they trusted their audience and didn't try. Though releasing it during such a thick theatrical schedule seems like a dicey choice at best.

I read an article saying this failed and one of the reasons is it became more sci-fi than horror. Makes me want to see it more now.

Yikes, between this and the shipping companies it's almost like they want the returns for damaged products to increase.

That's how my Superman non-steelbook was shipped with the slipcover not all the way over the case, so the top of it was just smashed by the sealed carboard. Well, minus the cardboard wraparound.

That packaging for steelbooks is still better than Amazon/Wal-Mart/Target/Best Buy, so I don't mind ordering those from Gruv, but I won't be ordering anything else again unless I'm confident there's enough to ship at once in a box.

Gruv sent me the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions box set instead of the M3gan 2.0 steelbook. And their packaging was awful.

I'm done with Gruv.

If I had to guess, Gruv probably used that inferior packaging because they ran out of boxes this week.

Next week has a ton of steelbook releases that Gruv had to ship out this week - Superman, M3gan 2.0, and The Last of US Season 2.

Hopefully, this is the case, and they continue to use boxes for steelbooks.
