I really liked the spiderman simulator ride. Probably one of my favorites there...that and the hulk coaster.

Not sure if you guys ever went to the Busch Gardens Europe in Williamsburg, VA but in case you guys didn't know about this they closed down the Big Bad Wolf ride.

Quote:
WILLIAMSBURG (AP) -- After a 25-year spin, the Big Bad Wolf ride at Busch Gardens-Williamsburg is closing Monday.

The suspended roller coaster has had a successful run. Since it opened in 1984, more than 29 million riders have hopped aboard the Big Bad Wolf. It had simply reached the end of its service life.

Busch Gardens auctioned off the 24 seats for the final ride. The money will go to the Busch Gardens Wildlife Conservation Fund.

No replacement has been named.

And that really sucks.

Any idea what they replaced the BTTF with?
the Simpsons ride...

No more BTTF ride, either.
I love roller coasters, but those "rides" like BTTF leave me not feeling well at all.

This HP theme looks pretty cool, and I know my kids would really enjoy it. Looks like a trip to the in-law's next year will now include a day a Universal.

Simpsons is more modern, I didn't like the change either, they should have left it alone

I think they probably chose to let go of it because of maintenance costs. Same reason a lot of rides go through this, like the Big Bad Wolf in Busch Gardens Europe.

My wife worked for Universal Orlando when we got married. I miss being to get in there for free. I'm looking forward to the new Harry Potter section opening up. I don't know how long I'll wait before going down to check it out (we live about 2 hours away now). It'll be crazy when it first opens. I'm also curious what will be the fate of the Marvel area at Islands of Adventure now that Marvel has been bought by Disney.

According to Disney this will be a no touch territory. So they are leaving it be.

I don't think so, they changed the appearance a little but the ride is pretty much the same, I think they even used the same Deloreans for the ride but made them look a little more Simpson related.

As for the HP theme park, I've never seen the movies, but I'm sure it'll do well.
DD was an awesome ride

We were at Universal in June of this year and Dueling Dragons was still going. Great ride(s). Not as good as the Hulk, but still good.

It was probably just bad info then, I think I remember them saying it was going away to make room for HP. However, maybe they'll leave the ride. I hope they do! Love that place.

I recently visited Disneyland/California Adventure Park and the ride California Screamin' was so cool, which I recently found out is the second longest steel roller coaster in the US. Plus they play music in your head rest that is synchronized to the ride. I was amazed at just how fun it is.

I think Universal Florida is planning to build a ride like that where the music goes in rhythms with the ride. This sounds pretty cool.
