I must have gotten all the ones without a reverse slip, then...

I just meant reversible covers, but the 3 Warner slipcovers I have only had a sticker on it, otherwise I wouldn't had bought them.
And they usually come with a sticker on it

The Umbrella LE did not have reversible art. In had an inner print, but the artwork itself was the Theatrical cover. The Slip was the custom drawn artwork, and the Box wraparound was the bathtub scene in the movie with no logos or text anywhere but on the spine. No rating logos anywhere (Not even on the cellophane).

I like Hostel (not for the gore itself), and I was so-so on the Sadness (more so for the movie itself and not because of the gore level, which is probably too much).
This is a movie that poses some interesting questions and lingers with you after far, FAR more than either of the two films you mentioned. This is an intellectual film wrapped in a horror movie. It also has one of the most ambiguous endings you'll ever see.

That all said, when this movie premiered 17 years ago I was a regular on the Highdefdigest forums... In a screen capture thread a single image was posted that IMMEDIATELY made me seek out this film. I had never watched a trailer, never heard anyone speak about it, didn't read a synopsis... I knew nothing, other than that this one single image would appear somewhere within the film. Needless to say, it was enough to not only pique my interest, but demanded that I immediately seek the film out. I bought a region free player and imported this movie immediately.

If you are still curious and haven't done other research, here was a close proximity of the image I saw... Spoilers obviously as well as a NSFW warning.

You can use it as reversible cover, the spine is the same in both sites

I pre-ordered directly from Eureka’s site since they offer free shipping worldwide, and the money was withdrawn immediately. My first movie from that label, though Cure is on my wishlist. Been years since I seen Martyrs, but it is a classic and I’m happy to add it to the collection.

Not a huge fan of this particular film (may get it but undecided), hope to see others in the genre from the period make the jump to 4K. Some of these French films were shot with SD cameras, unfortunately, so there's no hope for those but thankfully the experimentation with early tech didn't last long.

The extremely brutal violence and torture committed against those poor girls made me sick to my stomach, and I actually had to watch at least one or two scenes partly through my fingers (held up in front of my face), which I almost NEVER do, even with the most horrifying videos.
The fact that this movie is so well-made (combined with a gripping and depressing story), contribute to make it an even rougher experience.

Anyways, since I'm a dedicated movie collector, I still feel a compulsive need to buy this new limited edition in spite of my mixed feelings.
Not surprisingly, even though I bought the uncut Scandinavian dvd back in 2008, I have never managed to see it again, haunted by that terrible emotional trauma it was to watch it...

So, especially if you are a sensitive person, be warned that this movie is really going to test what you (and your stomach) can handle to watch in your home cinema.

I remember thinking that 'Cannibal Holocaust' felt like children's telly compared to 'Martyrs', so I wonder how I will feel about it today, after all these years.
To be honest, I think I will need a Chivas Regal (on the rocks) to numb my senses before I eventually start watching this upcoming edition ...
Cannibal Holocaust is far more difficult for me to watch due to the real animal cruelty. I can’t stomach those scenes. Martyrs is one of the hardest horror films ever made, but not unwatchable for me.
