The Facebook for the The SpongeBob Movie:The Search For Squarepants just revealed a poster that lists The SpongeBob Movie:The Search For Squarepants as coming in real d 3d.So its now been confirmed that The SpongeBob Movie:The Search For Squarepants is coming to theatres in 3D. It remains to be seen whether the movie can be released on 3d blu-ray through Turbine Media.Though a release on Apple Vision Pro is most likely going to happen just like it did for transformers one.Anyway glad the new SpongeBob movie will be in 3d since Smurfs wasn't.

It would have been nice if the last SpongeBob 3D movie had gotten a 3D Blu-ray release, this will be the second one now to go to theaters only.

Curious to see how this one is in 3D. Sponge Out of Water was passionately composed for 3D. I only ever saw a 3D trailer for Sponge on the Run, but it was natively rendered and didn’t seem too far removed from Sponge Out of Water’s commitment to 3D. This is an SDFX post-conversion, which has only impressed me with Puss in Boots 2 and TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, and the latter’s studio also made Search for SquarePants. Guess I’ll hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

If Paramount’s merger with Skydance doesn’t affect Turbine’s licensing deal with Paramount, hopefully Search for SquarePants and Sponge On the Run could get 3D Blu-rays in the future.
