Default Blu-ray discs, Weird pattern

Is it normal for br discs to have a weird pattern, when looking at the disc surface from under a table lamp?

On the data side

Here is a pic http://s40.radikal.ru/i088/0909/da/31e209c0f33c.jpg

You only get this if there is a light source above it. I only have 10 blu's and everyone is the same.

I live in scotland, so it can't be damage by heat. Or is this just an effect similar to the rainbow effect when light is shown on CD's.

Yes it's normal. We don't see it in the US cause our power cycles differently

I almost freaked when I was in Japan and saw what a blu-ray looks like under their lights

I've worked out why this happens. I recently changed the bulb in the table lamp for a energy saving bulb(fluorescent). So it must be fluorescent light that causes this.

When looking at the disc with a normal bulb(incandescent)you don't see this effect.
