Here's something you might enjoy knowing about. What if I told that the animated TV series "Garfield and Friends" predicted this show on an episode originally televised on November 19, 1988, during a segment called "Monday Misery"? When Garfield learns that it's a Monday, his mind envisions the day as the trailer for a horror movie, and this is what Garfield envisions:

The first words of the announcer are "From the people who brought you the terror of Wednesday...."

In less than 48 hours, Season 2 of this series will be available on Netflix. The show's creators have gone way, way out of their way to advertise it. There was a "Wednesday" Little Golden Book, there have been "Wednesday" Christmas tree ornaments, for a few months there was a "Wednesday" breakfast cereal, and now you can get a "Wednesday"-themed meal at Wendy's. Here's a link with more info:

https://www.allrecipes.com/wendys-ne...-meal-11777597

The items in this meal include:
-"Rest in 10-Piece" Nuggets
-"Cursed & Crispy" Fries
-Raven's Blood Frosty
-Two "Dips of Dread"
-A purple "Spoon of Gloom"

Oh, here are the names of the "Dips of Dread":
-You Can't Hyde
-This Will Sting
-Grave Mistake
-Nowhere to Woe

Get it while you can. The "Wednesday" breakfast cereal has been discontinued, so I assume Wendy's will discontinue this meal at some point.

I now have more interesting news.

Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the early 1990s in the two movies distributed by Paramount Pictures, will join the cast as a Nevermore Academy professor.

We've seen Gomez and Morticia fight with swords. We've also seen Wednesday and Bianca (among other characters) fight with swords. Would you like to see Morticia and Wednesday fight with swords? You're in luck. Morticia and Wednesday will have a sword fight in Season 2.

More good news. Pugsley will be joining Wednesday at Nevermore Academy. And he also has electrokinesis, which enables him to produce targeted electrical discharges in the form of bolts of lightning. If Pugsley could use his electrokinesis to discharge electricity in a safer manner and at a slower rate, he could help people out by recharging their phones or batteries or by jump-starting cars without the need for jumper cables. Hey, maybe Pugsley will use his powers to steal a car someday.

I'm glad to see you're looking forward to that. Seeing Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones duke it out with swords promises to be quite a show.

I kind of sorta watched it this weekend. More like sat in the same room as my wife watched it.

It's the same as season 1 for me. The show looks amazing but I am clearly not the target audience with the way it's written. I find everything cringy and although I enjoy Wednesday the character, her monotone and distant personality is better fit as a supporting character, not the main, it gets seriously exhausting to watch her. I do think Jenna Ortega plays her very well though. The camping episode was pretty good though, I paid attention to that one.

Also, to say Lady Gaga 'can't act' and 'hasn't had a solo hit in 15 years' is factually incorrect. Now, you may not like how she acts or her characters, but she can act. And you can not like her music, but can't deny she has had solo hits in the last 15 years.

So far, so good. I really enjoyed the first four episodes. Once again, I like how much this show reminds me of Harry Potter at certain points. And Jenna Ortega is wonderful as always.

My only criticism is that I am not a fan of the way they split the season in two. I am not sure that was the right decision and feel like this just stops the momentum the first four episodes built up.

I think they should have just released all eight episodes.

Same here. Honestly just like “Addams Family values” I’m enjoying season 2 more than season 1.

I thought season 1 was good.
But I'm not digging S2 so far. It's way too "Hogwarts - but with a twisted twist!"
I can't stand invisible girl.
I don't find any of the characters interesting. The plot meanders forward. I mean, what ACTUALLY happened in the first three episodes? If there was one episode covering the first 3.3 episodes, I think we'd have a more interesting show.
Too many red herrings (lol pun) just like season 1, but with less interest in who is doing what outside of the mystery.

I don't like Pugsley. Uncle Fester is alright in small snippets, but totally fails when put in the spotlight.

This tries to capture the "spirit of kooky" amidst the mystery, with some spooky thrown in, but I feel they are doing 'things' that are any of those adjectives, but it doesn't embody those traits naturally.
I mean, there are scenes. People talk. But like... I feel zero connection to anyone, or any thing (haha! "Thing!" haha) that happens. It's like a dull candle flame, and there needs to be some spark to really set this show off and make it fire.

I'll keep watching, since I use it to take a break from my studies. But I had hope that they could get IN STEP from S1 to S2, and begin to stride.
Instead, I feel they kind of faltered, tripped a bit, and might just end up smashing their face before they recover. Only time will tell.

This is sort of how I felt watching what little of S1 that I did. Ortega is good as is her character. It's just everything else around her doesn't mesh well too much.

I feel like maybe the writers are trying to speak to an audience w/ their world rather than inviting their audience into their world.

The best way to put it is something akin akin to older folks trying to be hip and cool but not understand what is now hip and cool to present it naturally. I like the visuals but just feel like it's trying to hard to fit in than just being it's own thing in it's own way to make it unique.

This cross promotion made me smile as I have a family member who often incorrectly refers to Wednesday as "Wendy."

I like the season but it was stupid and lazy to continue the Hyde as the main villain. The Hyde is going to be the villain for the rest of the series. Tim Burton clearly has no creativity left.

The hyde stuff really bores me, it's basically just a fugly hairless werewolf. What's even the point?

[Show spoiler]I was waiting for some kind of plot twist where Isaac and Francoise ended up being step siblings or something, because I wouldn't have expected this show to go full incest since it skews a little younger, and maybe it was because of the resurrection age difference but they just seemed too... involved or something. And Isaac and Tyler looked very similar. But I'm glad they didn't pull that crap.

Overall, it was fine but not as good as season 1. They focused too much on the other members of the Addams family than Wednesday it felt.
