I think I like this steelbook better than the US release... but not sure if I want to double dip..

This is the artwork that was initially advertised with the Artwork TBC disclaimer on the original steelbook release. I do like it more than what we got, but yeah that price... Sometimes these Ultimate Collectors Editions end up getting standalone steelbook releases without the books/art cards etc further down the line. So hopefully that happens here.

Pre-ordered as I really loved that film and also other Eggers films, but jeez that price is terrible. It's a £10 price hike compared to other previously released Ultimate Collector's Editions (they were priced at £44.99 usually).

At least you could resell the current steelbook to pay for this collectors edition. I bet this sells out fast!

Looks really nice. If only it came with an Orlok 'stache for us to wear. Maybe if it had come out in the early 00's.

i like the way you think, I may hold out then. it comes out to $80 American, but i don't need all that other action, just the back cover.

A link would be nice, you mean that one?

Also do you mean the spine Text is the opposite way, that's how the french do it I guess, and it looks like the UK has the Title on the spine the exact same way.

The last steelbooks I imported from Amazon UK came highly unprotected and hence damaged. Despite showing them photos they refused to do anything about it but a normal return, where I had to pay shipping and then provide proof for a refund on that. It was a big hassle.

Seeing this release finally pushed me over the edge to purchase a new copy of the U.S. Steelbook release for $53.xx on the bay. Amazon never fulfilled my original order and I was hoping to avoid paying the $20+ premium of what second hand re-sellers are asking. But this release is too much for my budget. Original release will be here later this week.

I am in the US and have concerns about this being shipped from the UK by Amazon.

That, and I’m worried about Amazon overselling.
I’m half expecting them to cancel my preorder near the release date

I’m not taking any chances on missing out, since it says it’s limited to 3,000 copies
