Default 'The House of Mirth' coming in May 2016

According to this site, Vision Entertainment will be releasing 'The House Of Mirth' on Blu in Australia on 4th May 2016.

Here's a link to the relevant page:

I'm not sure that I've come across Vision Entertainment before - do they have a good track record for BD releases?

The company is actually called Via Vision Entertainment (or VVE) and are distributed through Madman Entertainment.

Their releases are a bit of a mixed bag generally.

Here are the press details for this release:

Special Features:
Deleted Scenes with optional audio commentary by writer/director Terence Davies with 'White Rabbit' option

I've taken the plunge and pre-ordered it from EzeDVD. I'll report on the transfer when I get it!

I've just received an email from EzeDVD saying that the release of 'The House Of Mirth' has been cancelled.

Not sure why blu-ray.com tends to ignore release updates from the BFI, but House of Mirth is finally coming to blu-ray in late November 2025. I'm shocked it's taken so long (25 years!) to get a proper hi-def release. Just wish it were in 4K.
