I’m gonna say the same on-disc extras, just different packaging options.

I don't know what Umbrella or anyone else is going to be packing, but this is how I spent last week...

If any other international releases are getting this stuff, it wouldn't be until next year. LG almost certainly isn't going to license this stuff out to other labels without a window for their own release. I think a lot of the legacy content will be the same, but the new stuff will likely be almost completely different.

I guess they could spend the effort to create their own new original bonus content, Kevin will probably be accommodating, or they could just do another release in a year and get fans to double dip...

In any case, I really hope the Lionsgate release doesn't leave out the old stuff so I can get rid of the old discs

based on history, the lionsgate is probably safer from a compression standpoint. umbrella has some really good 4K discs, but some mediocre and even a couple of bad ones.

that being said, umbrellas physical extras will likely blow away lionsgate's

Umbrella has moved to using FIM for nearly every 4K now, Dogma is almost certainly guaranteed to be FIM form them (though I doubt there'll be a significant difference between the LG and Umbrella discs in terms of compression quality)

I dunno, I just for instance watched Umbrella's Wake in Fright which came out in June 2025, and there are areas of the disc where the grain appears to have artifacts that are indicative of either digital manipulation or encoding difficulties (slow moving, appears to be missing highest frequencies). That's a fairly recent release, too.

Their worst release on 4K thus far IMO was J.S.A. (Aug 2024) which has areas which are completely devoid of grain, either master was DNR'd or really bad encoding.

On the other hand ,their release of Possession was fantastic, and Dead End Drive in was pretty good (despite also having some weird grain artifacts at time)

They had 100 minutes of deleted scenes, outtakes and a couple of commentaries on the DVD and BD releases. Shouldn't be hard to include all of those.
I’m still hoping they will add this documentary from the Vulgar (2000) DVD:
"Judge Not... In the Defense of Dogma" documentary (37:18)

That’s definitely the 7/10 split I’d expect.

"Judge Not: In Defence of DOGMA" was completed in time to be used on the DOGMA DVD release, Sony was just terrified of the Catholic League and wouldn't allow it to be put on the disc.

Having been a die-hard Kevin Smith fan since my high school days, that really makes me happy to see.

Now the only extra I'm curious about getting ported over from the DVD are the video clips played PIP when watching the audio commentary. I know it's not an important extra, but it's the completist in me asking about it (the Mallrats DVD had the same thing, and of course that never got carried over past the first DVD).

I'm curious as to why an InterPositive was used instead of the negative.

If you saw what I did with the extras for Frailty… you’ll have an idea my goal for Dogma… and then some.

Just a shame that LL don't ship worldwide as I'd likely double dip on this.
