Do we know if the showing of Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine at Anime Con was dubbed or subbed? If dubbed, I’m curious if they still used the BangZoom cast or if they went with this new Netflix team.

Netflix has nothing to do with this current dub other than streaming it together with Crunchyroll.

Wait why would they give Discotek a shout-out if they won't be doing future physical releases? Just a simple thanks for what you did in the past? Seems kind of odd to me if they don't plan on working with Discotek again in the future.

I'm curious if there is any rhyme or reason to this ordering. It's possible they are starting with movies that can tie into their "Conan vs the Black Organization" theme, but some of them are a stretch.

Regardless, I'm happy to see these movies become more accessible!

The movies are nice to watch when you're trying to unwind on a saturday evening when they drop. Plus the live chat is kinda fun. I hope they leave them up on their youtube channel for a while.

Another round of episodes has gone up on Netflix. I cancelled my Netflix subscription last week, so I'm unsure of what episodes have been included this time around. Keep your eye on the AnimeDubs subreddit for more discussion if you're interested.

The next batch of Detective Conan's "Conan vs. The Black Organization" Selection includes episodes 286-288, 345, and 425!

Some random quick tidbits before bed:
-All of these eps are from after the production's switch to digipaint, but on eps 286 & 287 we can see that Garnet Crow's ending theme still uses cels. These are the last episodes to use cels outside of flashback footage.

-Ep 425 is the first time an episode from the Mari Tominaga era has been dubbed into English! (I really like her character designs for the show, lol.)
-Shoudou is still my favorite B'z song from Conan.

One last thing to note: Though this first collection totals 14 episodes, if you split the long Specials by runtime, the actual length we got is closer to about 24-ish episodes.
