My copy from Walmart was 100% pristine mint. Not even the smallest ding or scratch. Sorry you had a difference experience. If there was anything "off" about my copy, then I could not detect it.

as far as the price, JB hi-fi is selling this now for $85 USD (not including S&H) and that is the standard price, not on sale. So $50 USD isn't totally beyond the possibility for a sale price. Not common, but possible.

Was your damage possibly due to poor packaging and the box got dinged during shipment? Just trying to understand why you had damaged sets, I didn't, and why Walmart priced this so low if it wasn't due to imperfected merchandise.

That's the part that doesn't make sense unless they made an error on the price. They are now selling the set for $130, although it's out of stock. They have the first set for $150. These prices are rather high and more than I paid at Orbit.


Yeah, my sets weren't very well protected during shipping. The box they used was just slightly larger than the set and only had a single bubble bag on top for protection. Both shipping boxes were banged up by Fed-Ex although ironically the shipping box that was the most damaged ended up having less damage to the set.

Ouch. Truly sorry man. And yeah, I do not understand Walmart's pricing on these. Just lucky I got a good copy of V2 at an insane low price.

I suppose that's because in the case of the first, a lot of people were holding out and waiting to see what the Mill Creek set was like. Once the Mill Creek was released, I daresay some people who were still on the fence about the Imprint version decided to take the plunge and make their purchases.
