I think the only reason remakes/remaster for PS3 games has to be a thing is because there isn't BC. If it was there and we got the "Boost" to performance that PS3 BC models had for PS1 and PS2 games, I think it would help them look as best as they could and be a great way to play BC games for the PS3 gen. I'd take advantage of it myself as there's loads of games that will never get a remaster or remake from that gen.

That said, I've already stated less than 1% chance it actually happens. PS1 and PS2 era games though I want to see Sony remake. Particularly their own IPs they have left dormant for ages.

I'd take PS3 backwards compatibility over any remake/remaster released in the last decade.

Oh that too but I actually would want a full on Infamous remake. The jump rom the original to Second Son was huge and I can only imagine what they'd be able to do now

The new 007 game is what we need. If companies could give good games like this, it would bring trust back to gamers.. So many unplayable, not inventive games recently..

What's special about it? The new inventive story. Car chases, and not repetitive play.. Just my opinion..
I played the beta and it was fun.. Alot of things to explore.. I hope they have more things to find..

It would be interesting to see if Sony do have some genuine non cross gen exclusives or they are all going to be full cross gen this time moving forwards.

It's weird if emulation bootlegs would outsell ps6. That might happen. I could afford $750 consoles. Why is a Turbographx 16 $400 and a Hyperkin Retron GX clone only $100? There is 1000-1 cards. Where do PS6 developers get money for Unreal Engine 6 games? The economy probably is not good enough to sustain $200 million development costs. PS4 gets 15 years of games. PS5 gets 12 years of games.

As far as I can tell, game development is only being priced upwards because of an incredible wastefulness of resources and choices made by executives which then blowback when the games turn out poor and the average Joe is the first on the firing line.

Its why I hope when PS6 rolls around, we get even more Indy type Devs embarrassing these bigger publishers effectively using tools like UE5 or their own engine to make games.

In terms of specs, the visuals for the level of hardware grunt we have has been diminishing but we have again seen a lot of waste in not optimizing their games too. So hopefully they sort it out soon.

Improved frame rates to 60fps average, better resolution closer to 4K and improved Ray Tracing across the board at a higher resolution to maybe even match the 1:1 with the resolution will help bump up things but also better quality textures and so on.
