Has anyone seen this? One of the few I don’t have as it didn’t really ‘feel’ like a Flipside. Anyone got any thoughts on it?

Yeah I bought it last year, it's stunning, one of the best historical setting movies I've seen very spooky and bizarre.

The thread name needs to be changed to "BFI Flipside" just like other similar collections should simply be called things like "Kino Cult", "Forbidden Fruit: The Golden Age of the Exploitation Picture", "Masters of Cinema" etc with possibly the label's name in brackets, if not in the collection's name, after.

Yeah, relax with your needs. However you have a point. Initially I didn’t want to change too much, but I’ll change it if I can.

That's the only thing I was suggesting as it makes finding thread "with titles the way I suggested" easier to find especially via Google.

FYI There is also quite a complete list of the BFI Flipside on Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/lemoncurry/li...-bfi-flipside/

Added this link to the first post as well.

Also I found I can't change the thread title myself, will ask a mod to do it.

What does engine think of Captured? It’s one I just can’t be bothered to watch and only got to be a completest. Tbh I’m suprised it’s not been deleted so some people must enjoy it over say films like Joanna

I really enjoyed it. A docudrama about soldiers being made POW's.

Curious about these two I’ve yet to add to my collection, anyone got any views on them?

Struggling to get enthusiastic about Remembrance (though I will eventually get it) but Eclipse does sound intriguing

Yeah, out of those two Eclipse is the more interesting one. Somewhat similar feel to Neither the Sea Nor the Sand. Well mostly because both take place on a rough coast.

Didn’t make any notes after watching, but I thought it was really good. I couldn’t quite tell if it was folk horror or if the magic is imagined. It also had a neorealist angle to it. And I usually forget endings so at this point I’m not sure either which it was.
