Default $50 rebate on xbox360 elite

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/3...te/default.htm

Not bad, $249 for a xbox360 elite
A good time to pick up a 360 for those 360-exclusive titles.

For me, I am still deciding if I should get this or the new slim for my study room.
Watching blu-ray in my study room would be sweet but I DO want to try Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2.......

I was just reading where Dell was offering 30% off... and some other coupon deal... that would take it down to $185 for a new Elite. There's a link to the relevant info, in the discussion on the story about it at Gizmodo.com.

And check the XBox 360 discussion in the off topic forum for a Alan Wake trailer link I posted a couple of days ago. That games looks like it's going to be more than worth the wait!

Unless there's another coupon code for Dell the only one I see is 15% off which makes it $255 then with the $50 rebate comes to $205 before tax... Thinking about buying one and selling my Pro just for the HDD space...

Oh and this is probably getting moved out of Hot Deals since it has nothing in common with Blu-ray (although neither does the PSP but they allow their threads here)...

As I've said before...I'm happy to spend $50/year for - imho - a superior online experience. It's not that much and if it is, then you probably don't need to be spending your $ on gaming consoles, games, movies, etc. Otherwise, skip a meal at mcdonalds once a month and call it even. And what real gamer uses wireless in the first place?

I do wish it had a BD player tho...then it would be perfect, RRoD and all (I've had 6 btw - finally got a new upgraded box from MS).

You need to start using FatWallet.com... I never spend more than $30 for a 12+1 Live card...

That MW2 edition is pretty sick Kinda wish I needed another one...M$ keeps fixing mine for free though, so I can't complain too much... Hopefully the new Jasper they gave me won't die like my first gen ones all have

I don't eat at McDonalds, and I'm wise with my money (must explain why I chose a PS3 over a faulty 360). Makes more sense to spend that $50 on a game than to play a game online.

Finally someone else with some sense. Everybody is always saying $50 a year, I spend $32 at the most.

FatWallet.com is a deal finding site... People find deals around the internet and in stores and post them... Think of it as a Hot Deals thread for everything... Here is last Xbox Live card I purchased, and if you keep checking you'll find them about every other month at this price...

disagree completely. I've had WAAAAY more fun playing ModernWarfare online than the single player campaign, same with CallofDuty World at War. XboxLive has been well worth the money because, for me, the COD games are now two games. Paid $50 to buy them, and the online play is like a whole 'nother game. Heck, when MW2 comes out I'm not even sure I'm gonna play the single player campaign for a bit. it's all about online.

if you haven't tried it, you're missing out.

also, to add to what others have said ... got my XBL at Amazon for around $30.
