![]() ![]() Edia just announced they have licensed some Nihon Falcom PCE classics, including Ys, Dragon Slayer, and Xanadu, for "modern consoles." So far Edia released the console Valis games on Switch and Steam, along with several other PCE/MD games for Switch. Nothing fancy, no QoL improvements (at least on the games I've played through), but the ports have been pretty decent. Hopefully this new agreement will expand where they publish, probably PlayStation, maybe Xbox (but I doubt it). Here's the list:

Ys IV has never received an official international version, although it was redeveloped into Ys: Memories of Celceta. They're not on the list, but it would be great if the SFC games Ys IV: Mask of the Sun and Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand also got ported.

This would be cool but, judging from Edia's previous releases, it's going to be laughably barebones, overpriced, and not even include the original English versions of the games. The Valis collections had English text overlaid on top of the Japanese ROMs even when the games had English versions back in the day.
