DAMN!

Thought I was bad with maybe 20 or so titles I haven't watched.

Mind you, nearly every title in my collection I've watched, not counting brand new release movies, aside from the aforementioned ones earlier.

The one's I'm most excited to watch, once the final film arrives is; The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

Never watched any of the three movies in The Man with No Name trilogy, despite being a huge fan of Clint Eastwood.

For a Few Dollars More has arrived, and I'm getting worried that my copy of A Fistful of Dollars may have gotten lost, as there was no tracking provided, yet both were shipped the same day, and a Few Dollars More arrived Monday.

What makes this worse is these are the Arrow Limited releases..... *fingers crossed*

Giving it till tomorrow's mail before sending an email asking for help.

It did. This is basically the VS release except the 5.1 is now lossless.

It states "Theatrical Cut" but I'm sure they meant the uncensored Director's Cut (with the nudity intact), the runtime even makes that clear.

Just for curiosity sake, here's a comparison between the Theatrical and Director's Cuts:

I'm just surprised Scream couldn't also get this included considering they have a deal with MGM too (who may own that version).

It’s really becoming musical chairs between these boutique labels on 4K upgrades now. Perfectly content with my VS release on this.

Oh, okay. I had checked the database and was looking at the top of the VS to see if it mentioned 2 cuts, but didn't, so I wasn't sure.

Ditto I sold my VS set for a bill because I hate their early grades like that. Ticks was even insufferable to watch because of the grade.

Pretty sure the US theatrical cut was the full 118-minute version (amazing what you could get into a PG-rated film back then).

It says the 90-minute-or-so cut was taken from a German DVD, so maybe that was the German theatrical version?

This is one of those situations where the alternate “cut” included is the exact same cut, just some of the more iffy special effects have been redone. It’s largely really subtle stuff also, kind of like all the tweaks Cameron has made to Titanic but not nearly as many adjustments as that, but the camera shots and movie as a whole is identical.

Ah okay, thanks. I've never seen the movie, and was unfamiliar with its release history, etc..

I can’t believe the VS set is already 5 years-old. Where does the time go? My only issue with that one is the overly hot grading that gave everyone lobster skin during certain shots. The included blu-ray looks noticeably more even. Will be interested to see if Shout has tweaked the HDR at all.

The changes they did in the alt cut were very tastful, it's only two blink and you miss it moments you can't tell unless you know. But I prefer the old cut with the janky bird effect. It must have been something that bothered Coscarelli that he changed it, but since they included the old version something for everyone.

The Beastmaster may have one of the greatest scenes in movie history. So happy they got that scene in.

Agreed 100%. The Beastmaster is Conan with warmth and heart. Conan’s fatal flaw is that it’s missing Kodo & Podo.
