Kind of astonishing that Silent Hill games are coming out in a better and more polished state than Metal Gear these days. I hope Konami puts Neobards on whatever the next MGS project is, because the Delta team clearly needs some help with the tech side.

Neobards (name?) the developer worked on Dead Rising Remaster PS5, which was good.
Plus DF even compared SHF to Siren, which I agree about the similarities.

I've only played small portions of the previous games (still need to play SH2R).

What I've seen of SHF has definitely sold me though, will play it in a few years.

I wonder if the full village is open, or as with prior Silent Hill games, has barriers to prevent going freely, and requires taking a specific path around the barriers.
