Well yeah, it has an FBI warning too if your player is set to region A. This was clearly a disc mean't to be released everywhere but for some reason wasn't. I have no idea why you bother to author a disc this way and not release it everywhere.

Most big studios these days will create a 'one size' disc to serve a lot of territories, even if it's not their intention to release that disc in x territory straight away. Look at Starman: the Euro Blu-ray was released, what, 8 or 9 years ago with an entirely English-friendly disc in places like Italy but when did it FINALLY see the light of day in the UK? October of last year, exact same disc.

I have to laugh everytime I see a FBI warning on a non-US disc, it's better than seeing those annoying FACT ones or "you wouldn't steal car" warnings...

For some reason I like it when our releases still have the MPAA rating at the beginning. I guess I miss the BBFC title cards ...

So nothing spectacular but at least the Q&A seems to have a bit of substance.

Agreed. I’m surprised studiocanal hasn’t released a 4K version with the unrated cut. Especially with all the hype from the new movie. I would definitely buy it.

Just watched this for the first time tonight. As a huge fan of the trilogy and Rise, I adored every moment of this. Nasty, twisted, but thoroughly on-brand Evil Dead goodness throughout.

I was shocked by how good this Blu looked on my housemate's television. The rich black levels and brilliant white lights came across amazingly. Has me once again assessing whether HDR really is all that.

Yeah just borrowed this from a friend. Massive fan of the originals and think this honours those whilst also trying to do its own thing. Wish more remakes would strike a similar kind of vein, we don’t need a copy paste but don’t completely bin the original.
