It wasn’t one of their problematic titles, that’s for sure.

I don't recall any, but I can't wait to see months from now, screen caps comparing the two. Curious what the FiM encode for Radiance will be like.

So, I've seen this movie once. First time, it bored me. It grew on me, though, like Tenebrae and Lips of Blood.
This is a beautiful set, but I'm on the fence. Why? Well, the Blue Underground version is loaded with extras that I care about: Trailers, radio spots, image gallery, etc. I really hate when companies release a movie and it does not include every single extra known to man. This Radiance version is loaded with interviews, which are nice to have, but trailers, radio spots, tv spots, extra cuts and image galleries in addition to slipcases, booklets and movie posters and art cards are more vital to me than interviews. This causes some people to feel like they have to double dip, which is something I really hate doing. I'm like, why not include every special feature in your set to prevent people from double-dipping?! I cannot stand that. I hate how a company will release a beautiful piece of art with amazing artworks but yet ignore certain special features. Unless I find out this has the other features Blue Underground has also, I'll be on the fence with this one. Otherwise, it would be like me owning this for decoration! To each their own, but just to offer some perspective here, does a film like this really need an Atmos track? Surely those bits could be better allocated to the video side of things. I would rather have the original mix every time. Plus, BU’s encodes are notoriously poor.

On this forum, some users reported a Dolby Vision issue with some combination of displays and players on the Blue Underground version of Daughters Of Darkness. I can confirm I am one of those. Brightness levels go up and down for no reason. Likely a Dolby Vision sync issue. Switching off Dolby Vision fixes the problem.
Yes, the BU disc has more audio options, but I would rather just have the original mono and the rest of the bits allocated to the video. |

I might get this, unsure. I did think when I watched the BU that the solid red opening credits backdrop kinda looked weird, almost like a solid red color with some shimmery other shade of red on it. Kinda digital/fake looking, bugged me at first and made me go back to the BD to see what I thought of that disc. It didn't look like that in the credits, but there was a moderate amount of sharpening halos on that old disc. I never really see comments about shimmering on reds on UHD discs here, I thought the same thing about reds on Warner's Blade Runner disc.
