DVD/Blu-Ray Exchange?

I read a wile back that the had a program for the people who bought HD DVDs and could exchange it for the Blu-Ray. Is there a program that would let you take your DVD of a movie and exchange it for the blu-ray instead. They have to know that a lot of collectors have double dipped because of this. I thought this would be a great exchange. Although I only own two movies on DVD I need on Blu-Ray.

Certain high-profile blu-rays have come with mail in rebates for current DVD owners, but admittedly this is a rare occurrence.

But no, there is no widespread program for DVD-to-Blu-ray exchanges.

This is why there is no program. I mean, they aren't non-profit companies. They are in business to make money. They want you to double dip.

I don't think anything like that is going to happen until DVD goes out of business. So Blu-Ray can scatter the ashes.
