High Noon.

Not only a great western, but simply a great film.

Western = Clint Eastwood for me. Did enjoy Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner.

Tombstone is my all time favorite.

Others I like include:
Unforgiven
3:10 to Yuma

Anything John Wayne, and most of Clint Eastwood.

I am not sure why but I really enjoy 'The Quick and the Dead'. I thought it was a lot of fun.

I think all time though nothing tops Tombstone.

I'm a big western fan (especially Clint's movies). But, for those who are western fans, as well, do yourselves a favour and buy The Proposition. A gem of a movie that, albeit a little slower in terms of pace (i.e. a la The Assassination of Jesse James or No Country For Old Men), is one of my favourite movies, along with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, 3:10 to Yuma, Unforgiven, The Outlaw Josey Wales, etc.

I enjoyed Tombstone and Val Kilmer had some funny lines but I think that he did not look like he had Tuberculosis more like red eyes and a fever. I think from what I have read and on general looks alone that Dennis Quaid did a much better job in his representation of Doc. It was amazing that he got down to 135 pounds and made himself literally sick for this role. It is said on the set his lunch consisted of 1 piece of lettuce with mustard and smoked 2 cigs....

I like the dirty, filthy, gritty, realistic ones like The Proposition.

I dont care for the clean clothes-pearly white teeth "classics".

I cant stomach the pasta style.

Oh I so enjoy the pasta for the mere fact that they were filmed in Spain. We dont see the same old Texas/Arizona/New Mexico landsacpe. Watching TGTBATU and Once Upon a Time in the west was so refreshing.

I have The Proposition on DVD and Blu-ray but I've still never seen it.

It's been in the on deck circle a few times but I've never got around to actually watching it. I think I even put it the machine but something came up.

Some others that I like that I'd loosely call Westerns:

Maverick
Young Guns
The Apple Dumpling Gang (haven't seen it in many, many years but I liked it as a kid anyway)
Shanghai Noon
Hidalgo
I forgot all about this one. I also love Maverick, and I should put Blazing Saddles on my list as well.
