Default Would you ever download a movie from a p2p site??

Not that I have ever done it, wink wink.

I refuse this idea that you have to pay for a movie site unseen, and if your not happy, you cant get your money back. With all the crap coming out of Hollywood, I think a preview is a good idea. If I like the movie, I usually buy it. If I dont, I never see it again. Even most restaurants will not charge you for a meal if it sucks. Im tired of dropping $20-$25 bucks on a flick and hating every second of it. Its bad enough Ive burned $60 on stupid video games (Im looking at you Wolfenstein!) that werent worth the time.

I think most of the complaints are from people putting out bad product and not being able to dupe people through an ad campain into buying it.

I either use netflix, ppv, or amazon's vod to preview before I purchase. Don't be cheap.

No, not only is it stealing but a waste of time. Use Netflix or some other "rental" service if you want to see it before you buy it.

No.

Why not just rent via store, netflix, amazon, iTunes, etc. etc. before dropping the full price on the blu-ray?

Downloading takes time and to me, time is money. So, no.

Speaking of iTunes, we might get our films on there.

The main problem with downloading movies to preview them is the fact that they always have crappy 2 channel audio.. not even good quality 2 channel audio.. So the movie might be 100x better if you watch it with 5.1 audio.

This is why netflix/redbox is the perfect way to preview a movie. That way, if you do enjoy the movie, you are enjoying it for the first time in 5.1 audio.. nothing worse than watching a movie for the first time that you love and it has 2 channel audio..

The first time you watch a movie is always the best for those movies you love. Why ruin the best viewing of your future favorite movie with crappy audio?

This site has a zero-tolerance for piracy discussion...just thought I'd let the OP know.

Downloading off P2P is just a risk of virus infection and most of the time the quality is utter crap.

That's why you should wear protection when you download.

Protection won't do you any help as far as movie quality goes.

No but not because it's stealing but because I'd rather have the movie in full high quality.

Not for my first viewing, no. I've downloaded a couple movies that I saw in the theater that I really just couldn't wait for on Blu-ray, and later bought the Blu-ray. I feel no guilt in that. But, I always want my first viewing to be as good as possible.
