Default Transformers didn't even use a real Camaro

I remember all the hoopla about Transformers having a Camaro concept car representing what GM will have in 2009.

Well, the "concept Camaro" wasn't one of the show cars GM made. Saleen did moldings of the concept Camaro and modified a Pontiac GTO (which has been killed by GM) to use the Camaro moldings. It wasn't even a real Camaro.

So I guess it fits that a movie using a fake car will be available on a fake HD format and not on the REAL ONE.

A lot of people love this movie when it was in theaters and then Paramount goes HD-DVD only and now there's people trying to bad mouth the movie.

Eh, they make fiberglass doubles for the stunts. Much like how they change bodies on race cars. But if they can do that, why bother with an original?

I did not like it when it was in the movies. I felt it was all special effects and a minimal plot.

To me it felt like a typical Michael Bay movie. Plus most Action pack movies have a minimal Plot.

Actually I watched a making of and it IS a genuine concept Camaro. 1 of the 5 available during the movie. They talked about how a representative was on hand basically doing nothing but watching the car to make sure Shia don't wreck it. It was def. a concept camaro. Secondly, I definitely have to say I'm not half as exciting for the movie since the exclusive deal. Will still buy it on dvd because I just think Shia Lebouf is a great actor.

You mean fake just like Megan fox talking about a carb on the engine when it's clearly fuel-injection?

I think I would believe anything megan fox was to tell me. But then again probably would not pay attention due to all of her other distractions

I saw that "making of" as well and they were wrong. See this article:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=121044

I first saw that it wasn't the real Camaro on Wikipedia, and since that can be wrong I looked further and saw that Wiki was right. It's NOT the Camaro in the movie.
