Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer delayed - Blu-ray Forum

I just rec'd this email this morning from my rep at one of my distributors.....

Fox is currently having manufacturing problems with all Blu Ray product,
which has delayed shipments on FANTASTIC FOUR:RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER BLU
RAY product streeting next week 10/2/07. Product has not shipped
yet....I'll keep you posted on ETA's as soon as I receive.

that sucks. Let's just hope Fox doesn't get Fed up with BD and decide to switch.

Y'know what, Fox? Screw this. Why don't you just come out and say you're not actually going to release anything on Blu-ray that you promised?

Just kick us in the balls and get it over with. Don't be coy and pretend you're on the train.

It is probably delayed a couple of days. No big deal at this point.

The Day After Tomorrow which is also due on 10/2 is shipping to retailers. You would think Fox would rather have a day-and-date new release on time instead of a catalog title.

nooooooooo. damnit. I had to wait 3 days extra before my smallville set arrived. now i'll have to wait for silver surfer. dammitdammitdammitdammit

It was no big deal when "Amityville Horror" was "delayed".
It was no big deal when "Master and Commander" was "delayed"
It's no big deal that several titles have yet to show up for pre-order outside one or two retailers.

I don’t mine if it’s delayed it by a month, as long as they bring it out the Blu-ray and not HD-DVD

More than likely the Master and Commander glitch was something potentially across their entire template they've been using , and they need to retest for it.

But would that not affect Day after Tomorrow which is shipping out ( already got my shipping e-mail from DVD Pacific).

More like BD+ needs fine tuning for there big titles. Its the only thing different they intend to use that could cause issues. the other BDA boys dont seem to be stuttering like fox, but then they dont use BD+

Another left field comment. So much negativism. I seem to remember occasional problems with DVD when it was new. By this time next year there will probably be no bugs to fix.

I don't care about the catalog titles getting delayed, but they have GOT to make sure the day and date titles are on time.

Hopefully they will still hit the shelves on time, they still have a week to go.

No crap! Lets stay calm people, we don't even really know if it's delayed or not yet. It could just be like a Troy incident where everyone freaked out over nothing.
