Default Rumor: X-men 3 11/14/06

Quote:
My source is the distribution company our store has. They are pretty reliable when it comes to information on the street dates and they usually don't post anything unless they get the information from the studios. I just gave the distributor a call just to make sure it wasn't a mistake and they said it's accurate and pre booking ends tomorrow so it sounds like its coming.
Don't know if its true or not, but you heard it here first!

This would be huge.

All three X-Men movies would be huge.

Sold extra hard.

Disney's releases have been good for testing the waters and getting their feet wet with AVC and what's required for BD. Fox looks like they're going for the gusto head first.

I predict much hand wringing come the end of November. Less posting on the BD Forums since we'll all be watching lots of neat new titles and/or playing PS3 games.

Hehe we will enjoy X-men 3 in HD. J/K I am sure you will get one soon. I am looking foward to this title, if my local BB gets its act together. I just apply for their open spot as Media manager. I am pretty sure I have the job.

I published this a few weeks ago and it goes hand-in-hand with this prebook news.

OT: you listed Paramount as announcing "Black Rain: SCE" on DVD January 23rd.

I picked this up at Circuit City over a week ago.

What's up???

Perhaps it's the HD DVD/BD versions only?

I screwed that article up by totally forgetting the SCE just came out. It's been revised and should make more sense now.

Is it only me who thinks that X3 sucked compared to X2 and especially to X1?
I'd much rather see X1/X2 BDs.

No I thought it was not bad, but it paled in comparison to X-Men and X2. I think X2 is the best superhero movie yet.

X2 was a great film. I agree that it was the best of the three.

"X2" was the best X-Men film, IMHO, and one of my favorite comic book films of all time.

Fox has been using it as a demo for BD-Java in recent trade shows. Hopefully we'll get that sometime this year.

You might want to post this bit of news on the AVSF. In 20 posts, I believe it will be threadcrapped. But only because the HD-DVD fanatics know they can play the upconversion video using DVD only.
