USA Easy Rider on Blu Oct. 20th!

Very good news indeed. Has a MSRP of $38.96 though, maybe it's a book edition like Dr. Strangelove. I hope Sony Rewards members get a code for 10.00 bucks off, thank god the newly added Jeopardy ?'s are worth 25 points each 5 days a week! Anybody else getting this all time classic on the superior format?

Book or no book, not at that price. Would like to have but need to find it cheaper.

Me too! But this is THE FILM that catapulted Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda to superstardom!

definitely have to own when the price comes down. to bad i watched this movie while completing my must see list while working at blockbuster. the shotgun hillbilly ending 2 short days after seeing deliverance for the 1rst time has cemented my prejudice for rednecks.

The film was different but I don't see any re-watch value in it. Maybe because it came out way before I was born.

Nicholson was genius though!

What makes this film have less re-watchability than any other film?

This is an amazing movie. The announcement was made months ago though. I'll definitely be picking this up.

It did and Billy's bike was much cooler looking than the Captain America bike but it's really not a good film imo

I would just like to say that you're missing out on a lot of great movies if you don't watch anything that came out before you were born.

lol...I've seen plenty of movies that were made before I was born. I didn't grow up in the 60's, hence why it really didn't interest me. I missed the whole period...it was an interesting time but the movie just didn't do it for me for some reason. I liked Jack's acting..but that was it.

This movie did nothing for me...and I'm old.

Honestly, many of these movies that are considered "classics" from the 60s/70s would be box office flops now. Story lines and acting techniques are much more sophisticated now than in that era. Not saying all movies back in the day...but many of them were considered great due to the anemic competition.

Such a wide universe of great flicks to choose from...$38 for this old flick? Um...no.

Can't understand all the hate either.
This is imo one of the most important American films after the studio system and I cannot wait to get my hands on it to revisit this wonderful motion picture.

Huh? Lee Strasberg founded the Actor's Studio in 1951, which ushered in a whole new level of acting and is still studied today. And storylines more sophisticated? Tell that to Transformers, et al... The later 1960s-early 70s had some of the most radical storytelling/films in the history of cinema. It's still the last great creative era in modern filmmaking. Now everything is CGI/bleach bypass/MTV.
