Mortal Kombat PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I know there is a new game in the works and that not much is known. Here is what I would like to see in this game.

-Go Classic; I did not like the fact in recent MK games you could do what was once a fatality as a normal move. This made the game too easy when it was relatively hard back in MK 2 and 3.

-Created Fighters; Nice touch especially in online mode.

-NO BOSSES PLAYABLE; I am old-school, and I did not like the fact that people could play as the strongest person right away. At least make it hard to unlock them if they are going to be used.

-Shang Tsung's shapeshifting; I can understand why they took this out because of loading times. At the same time, they can easily get rid of a lot of crap to make room for this. After all, this is what he is known for and yet in past games you could not even shape shift.

-Animalities; keep this and get rid of those f&^*ing Babalities. At the same time, to anyone hwo has played FF X, make this turn into a battle. Have people shapeshift into the animals and then fight as them.

-NO MORE CHEAP NINJAS & ROBOTS; Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Sub-Zero and even Rain. However, the staff behind MK think they can duplicate a ninja and give him a different color and say he is new. Look at Smoke and robot Smoke: Rips offs of Scorpion and Noob Saibot only with different colors. Cyrax and Sektor were original.

-More Stages; again, knowing the limit on PS2 was on graphics, but on PS3, we should see more than just 5-8 stages. Consdeiring if there were more than 40 fighters with 5 stages, we would have a lot of repitition.

-M Rating; for the love of God, no more T-rated games for MK like the DC one....

-Classic Modes; I like Conquest and even those little Chess games and Mario Kart rip-offs, but if they were to cancel those out and solely concentrat on the fighting game like in MK3, imagine how good it will look and play with that extra memory available.

-One Last Thing-The Look. Even on PS3, the fighters should look decent. However, it is still debated over whether or not computer models should be used, or actual scans such as those used in Mortal Kombats 1, 2, and 3. Tough one 'cause I like both.

I just hope it's not like Street Fighter, I gave it the chance and actually bought it but it's just terrible, something like EX Plus Alpha would have been amazing, yet we're lumbered with this cartoony looking "beat 'em up" which just doesn't interested me.

I would have prefer the original to the current one, fingers crossed Mortal Kombat will be better.

As long as the staff does not implicate any useless modes or ideas like that in the Street Fighter series, I would be fine. Speaking of Street Fighter, that is being used way too much. The series would be good if they spaced it out over the years instead of months. It seems every six months, there is a new edition of a chapter of series for that game. Soon there will be Street Fighter 4 Turbo HD Aplha Ex Plus Sigma Part Two, and the new thing that they will put in that $60 game-a different color flag will be hanging in the background then before, and there might be a night-sky edition of a background. WOW

anyone use to like the look of the real people like in the first mortal kombat or in pit fighter lol...but with ps3 they should be able to pull off a good game with real people in the game...either way i want them to go back to the mortal kombat 1 and 2 days...dont add all the extra BS.

I'm not sure why this franchise has so many fans, to be honest. Yeah, the gore was cool - the first few hundred times.

But the gameplay has always been horribly shallow and unbalanced, in every edition, and technology has moved on from the photo-sprite-simulation technique of animation (which the series itself hasn't used since MK3).

"Back to the Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 days"? You can not be serious.

I love how the characters have a specific weapon and fighting style. It makes them more unique compared to other fighters. I also loved in MK Armageddon how you could create a figther; classic!

All they've said about the new game coming out is that it'll go back to it's roots (no DC characters) and it'll be the bloodiest game yet. I'm really looking forward to it.

all sounds good to me, T rated MK games suck .... Don't get me wrong the DC Universe was cool. Although I was a fan of Shang Tsung morphing ...

Going back to MK1 and 2, I was talking about the fighting not graphics. I like the original gameplay in those two; wish they had MK1 or even 3 on PSN.
