Sin City question

there are so many versions of sin city, on with all characters but 1 disc, one with all the recut extended, and one with jessica alba, which one has the best transfer? thx

I rented the one with extended cut and I own the Alliance. I prefer the Alliance release in both ways. Only problem is no extras on Alliance.

Get the one you want as I think the transfers are very similar.

The Alliance 2-disc set w/ Jessica Alba slipcover has the better transfer, taken from the US 2-disc release.

Yes, the one with Jessica Alba on the cover is the extended version.

Companies release different transfers because they hope people will double-dip thus getting them more money.

I can't answer your third question as I have never seen any other transfers except the one with Jessica Alba on the front cover.

Yes the one with Jessica Alba on the Lenticular slipcover is the better transfer as Rhylliam said.
You need the one with 1.85:1 ratio and not 1.78:1

The original movie is on the first disk.
On the second disk, you have the extended version in the form of sperate stories.
So each story is alone and you can watch them one by one and each has extra scenes.

Sorry to grave-dig, but does anyone in Canada still see the Sin City 2-Disc Blu-Ray at stores? Also, does it come with the Alba Lenticular slipcover?

Just wondering if the slipcover is out of print.

Thanks Rhylliam, this is one of my most wanted slipcovers and I regret passing on the chance to buy it on axelmusic.com around $18.

I see the 2-disc Sin City CN version on Amazon.ca for under $20 but shipping is half of the price to the US! I also wouldn't know if Amazon would include the lenticular cover.

I ended up buying one on eBay a couple days ago. Hope it'll arrive safe and mint condition!
