Default Halloween 2 (original) on blu?

Hey does anyone know if the original Halloween 2 is available on blu yet? I remember distinctly there was 2 versions the theater and I'm guessing tv versions of the film. I'm curious if they will have the extra footage as an extra if it ever releases.

Only the first one and the remake are available at this point.

The second is my fav of the bunch. The ending, you think Donald Pleasance dies, but he comes back just like Micheal to star in more sequals.

Bummer! You just spoiled the ending for me.

I hope Halloween 2 comes out on BD by next October 31st.

Sorry Comet...as soon as I read something about the ending, I looked down to the next post. I was able to avoid the spoil.

What an idiot kid. I didn't know about that. Eff him.

Oh and I hope they go for the tv cut which was more focused on being a good movie rather than cheap thrills from kills.

As much as I hated this inferior sequel, MM looked friggin fantastic. Dick Warlock did a wonderful job taking over for Nick Castle as the SHAPE!

Universal will most likely just release the version they put out on DVD.

Universal has the rights to Halloween 2? I'm shocked they havent released it on blu to coincide with the holiday. But just like how dvd was handled in the begining catalog titles are put on the back burner. they probably just want to milk us into buying the crappy dvd and waiting till they feel like releasing the blu but like i said i hope they release both the tv and theater versions or at least do like criterion did with the laserdisc (yes laserdisc the original dvd) have the tv version that can play along with the original.

The now dead company GoodTimes first released H2 and H3 on DVD in 1998. About 3 years later, Universal got the rights and released their own H2 and H3 DVDs.

Nope. Nothing.
For the genre that put them on the map. Universal likes shitting on their horror titles as much as Paramount does.

We do have Halloween: Curse of MM and Halloween H2O coming out in May if that helps

It might seeing how it is the 30th anniversary, and Universal could see feel the pressure from the other studio that is releasing the later sequels this spring. Hopefully at least.
