Default harmony one

Does anyone have a Logitech Harmony One? For some strange reason my Harmony One is frozen. Has this happen to anyone and if so what did you do to fix this problem?

+1. This works 98% when a device with a lithium ion rechargeable battery is frozen for me.

^yup. Agree. This will happen from time to time. A small price to pay for a great universal remote that controlls everything....

Mine's never frozen, but I'll keep that tip in mind about removing the battery. Thanks.

If it's locking up on you a lot I'd try updating the firmware.

When I get home later today I'll take the battery out and see if it works. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll post the results later today.
Thanks.

I've noticed that my battery is getting eaten up very quickly recently. I mean I need to charge it at least once during the day where as in the past I could have it go quite a few days without recharging.

Sounds like it's time for a new battery. I know everyone says this type of battery isn't supposed to develop a memory, but in my experience they do. It just may take longer than it does to develop a memory with other types of batteries. When you get a new one, don't leave the remote in the charger every night. Only charge it when it needs it.

You know where I can get a replacement battery? Do I need to go directly to Logitech? And yes, I'm too lazy to Google it right now.

I haven't looked into it, but I would guess Logitech would be the best place to go.

I've found this from logitech. :P

Googling a bit, it looks the same as batteries for certain Nokia phones but going with the Logitech one won't hurt...

I was able to get remote to work again by briefly taking the battery out. Thanks for your help.

Default Interference?

Has anyone experienced pressing the volume or channel button and then have another component respond? I recently added an Elite projection screen and although it found it in the database, I had to have it learn the up/stop/down commands so that it responds. The problem now is that when I press certain buttons in some activities, the screen goes down. So it appears there is some sort of interference or cross commands going on. Any idea of how I can eliminate this or who I can ask?

Thanks.

Is it doing BOTH commands or just the unwanted projector commands?

I would look over every activity and double check that the correct device and commands is configured for each button. If they are, then I would contact Logitech/Harmony customer support. I've had very good success with them in the past.

Vega, have you just tried to have the remote "learn" the command instead of relying on the database?

It was actually doing both, but I think I figured-out the problem with some help from my brother who had a similar problem.

For some reason the Screen UP/STOP/DOWN default buttons (in Device - Standard Buttons) were assiged to the VOLUME UP/STOP/VOLUME DOWN buttons. I reassigned the standard buttons to UP ARROW/OK/DOWN ARROW. I am assuming that when I would use an activity which had the screen as a device and the Volume UP/DOWN was pressed, it sent the command to the screen as well as the volume cobntrol on the AVR. This makes sense and I am hoping it proves out when I get home.
Thanks for the follow-up though.

I think I may have solved the problem as I explained on my previous post, but this was a weird device because it found the model number in the database, but no commands worked. I had to have the remote learn the commands in order for it to actually work????

Thanks.
