Buy the Canada Blade Blu Ray Collection or wait for a U.S. release? What do you think? Will it eventually be released in the U.S.? And will they be better quality discs or the same?

The Canadian Alliance releases are in the wrong aspect ratio!

Actually, only the first one is in the wrong aspect ratio. Blade 2 and 3 are done right. The only downside is that all three has no bonuses and 3 isn't the director's cut.

I bought 2 but am waiting for the proper release of 1 and 3.

I wasn't terribly impressed with them so I would say wait as well. It's pretty cheap if you absolutely need it right away but otherwise I can't see it being too much longer before these films are given the proper treatment.

i have the dutch one and it does have the correct aspect ratio.

No bonus features? That's very frustrating.

It's borderline bait and switch. You assume you're getting at least what was offered on DVD when you buy Blu. Damn. I guess I'll wait - the price is really good though...

Any word at all on when Blade might come out on Blu-ray in the US? Even unsubstantiated rumors may be enough to keep my hopes up at this point.

We have gotten pretty much every other decent comic book adaptation already, even that crapfest Catwoman has seen a BD release. The only other ones that I plan on upgrading that haven't come out yet in the US are Elektra, The Crow, The Phantom, and The Shadow (I still need to upgrade my FullScreen DVD), but this last one is somewhat unlikely to come out anytime soon or ever. I'm not really that concerned about these next two, but are we likely to get the Fantastic Four & Punisher Extended/Unrated cuts on BD ever?

Although I already own the DVDs, I will definitely check out the first Blade on Blu when it releases here in the US. The other 2 were just bad, IMO.

to the OP, wait for a US release. I'd be willing double dip 1 & 2 and maybe even buy the crappy pt 3 if WB includes all the excellent DVD features!!!
