Lightbulb Suggestion showing no. of views per movie

I find the collection features very useful for keeping track of what I own on blu and for quickly linking friends that want to view my collection.

Here's my suggestion for an added feature.

There is currently a box to tick if you have viewed the movie. The site also keeps track of how many copies of each movie are owned. How about extending that a little further?

Change the box to a bar. Instead of a tick showing that you have viewed the movie, have a bar with 20 or so boxes so that you can keep track of how many times an individual movie is viewed. The benefit is that each member can have a personal record of what movies they watch most often, and the site would have the collated information.

So instead of showing The Dark Knight or Iron Man as the movie that is in most collections, we could see which movies are actually viewed the most often.

I think this would be useful, fun and interesting.

Hehe, thanks for considering it.

Mine is probably Bolt, Ratatouille, or the Kill Bills. That will change when Inglourious Basterds is released though.

Oh its not me or my decision, i was providing you with my input. Its totally up to the developers, They write the code, make the decisions, etc.

I just think it would give us a better idea of what movies people like.

Some of the Top 20 may be good enough to own, without being anyone's favorite movie.

Total views would be another way to look at things.

I know there are more important things in life, but I was just thinking out loud

Of course, it would only be accurate if all the members kept their counts up to date.

But I like the idea.

Yep, that's true.

It would be accurate for any individual stats though, if you were diligent about updating it. I would be curious to know what I watch the most each year.
