Might as well buy it now if you can find it for a good price. It's an improvement over the DVD.

I'm not sure why so many people are looking forward to a boxset. Chances are the picture/sound quality will be identical to the individual releases, but they might throw in a few extras.

After I buy all of the originals, the only way I'm buying them again is if they give us the films uncut. And that's not looking likely....

I can't wait for the rest of the F13 flicks to hit BD. My favorite is part 7. I wan't to pick parts 2 and 3 up, hopefully they will have a good price on black friday.

I'm wondering, since they haven't released parts 4-6, if Friday the 13th parts 2 and 3 aren't selling as well as expected.

I never watched it on SD, but the blu-ray was really good. Not fantastic, but good.

The Blu-ray on all the Friday the 13th movies are huge improvements over their DVD counterparts. Whether you think the Blu-rays turned out good or not, they're way better than the DVD versions.

I thought Friday the 13th Part 3 looked lousy. I haven't seen the new DVD so I cannot compare the two only the first DVD.

But I thought in some spots the BD did improve the quality, but in other spots it looked terrible. No way its worth an upgrade unless you plan on buying it for the 3-D (which is decent) or the extra features, but if you have the new DVD I dount the BD is worth the upgrade again unless for the features.

The first DVD had a lot of grain in some spots, which is mostly cleaned up, but the dirt on the camera is far more noticable and is a bit of a disctration
