In few circumstances such as Motorstorm, you could only play online against people from the same region as the disc that was bought. Therefore UK disc meant you could only play against UK people.

These days, all games are global aren't they?

I bought the UK version of the Steelbook and it just arrived. It is a steelbook, but the title, rating, title on the spine and stuff are not printed on the steelbook itself. it's a slipcover, while the art is printed on the steelbook.

Heres a pic... its backwards tho cause i used photobooth

Its a SteelBook all across Europe, they probably used same Steel, different slipcover

Game does not ship to US, but some1 got it from me and was uneventful, same with prince of Persia steelie

I just bought it for 60€ (~90$) incl. shipping from Germany! Our local MM, Mueller and Gamestops have prices between 70-80€

I got 1, but it arrived with a tiny ding on the top, selling it on ebay right now. Will be getting more though.

They do ship to the U.S. It's under the "Rest of World" option and it states in their policy that the United States is included in that. I just don't want to do it if it's going to arrive dented or beat up.

They ship them in normal bubble wrap packets, so they may very well get damaged traveling that far with just bubble wrap. I got mine a day before release from game via pre-order; I saved a fiver as i ordered it when they sold it at £39.99. They then must of noticed so many pre-orders that they bumped up the price to £44.99!

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! That's a lot of money for us in the States to burn on an item that might arrive beat up. Have to think on this one.

For anyone that got one of these: were you able to get the download code for the extra stuff to work? I tried entering the code and it says that I'm not able to use it. Hmm...

So you are looking for the stuff you can use in multiplayer (golden colts...), because I will get it this week and will not play the multiplayer, so if you do not get it work with your code, shoot me a pm and I will give you my code!!

Did you buy the UK version? Are you in the states? Your PSN ID has to match the whatever version of the game you have. If you have a UK Uncharted, then you need to get a UK PSN ID.

all ps3 games are region free but all DLC is region locked.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. So then could I setup a UK PSN ID and download the stuff that way?

As I understand it, you can set up a UK PSN ID, download the content, then transfer it to the US PSN ID. I don't know if this is true, I've only read it before and I am yet to try it since my Uncharted 2 isn't here yet. Please let me know if you get it to work!

Worked for me. Created a new local user profile on the PS3, and setup the UK PSN ID, using a UK address. Then was able to download the stuff. Switched back to my US PSN ID, and was able to use the stuff without having to download anything. Awesome. Thanks guys!

Thanks!

You don't have to transfer anything after being downloaded. Once downloaded it works for all user ID on the PS3
