Default Hastings

This is truly great news for me and blu-ray. I go to college in a small town of about 15k and hastings is the only one that carries HDM. For the past month I go in once a week and have bought a title they have in stock and then gone over and nicely complained that there is a title i want that they don't have and ask them if they could order it for me. i have to wait a litttle longer for my movies but if my nice complaints influenced this decision im very pleased and maybe now i can get my BDs when i want them, where i want them. too bad im broke. Congrats Hastings of making a great decision in expanding your blu-ray section, you will be getting rewarded with my money!

I have a Hastings near me as well, the great thing is they also sell USED Blu-Rays that they guarantee for life.

There was an article I read recently that said Hastings is able to do more with BD now because of their revenue sharing that the BDA does.

yeah, mine sells used too, but ive only seen 1 used one there and it was pretty expensive (18 bucks) for a used one. there was a rumor a while back about hastings going BD exclusive maybe when i come home from xmas break there will be no hd dvd left. btw hd dvd just sits there at my store, im not sure if i have ever noticed that they move and blu-ray has litterly overflowed to the point where when day and date releases come out they are put on then new release shelves next to their 480p counter parts. now if they would only begin to rent blu-rays.

They rent blu-rays at my Hastings and the selection is very good and they have more than one of each movie to rent.

The shelving for sale is slightly in favor of BD over HD-DVD as well. But not a huge margin. Maybe 1.5 - 1.

I got "Shooter" and "Wild Hogs" for $14.00 each used.

Hastings is in Oklahoma as well, but Texas is their dominate market I believe.

wow, i hope they start renting up here. we've got a movie gallery, but they are litterly pointless. basically whenever i want to see a blu-ray, i HAVE to buy it.
